Environmental Organizations File Suit Over Mississippi River Basin Pollution
The Natural Resources Defense Council, Prairie Rivers Network and Sierra Club filed suit today (May 3) against the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District over water pollution impacts resulting from wastewater discharges that reach from Chicago, Illinois, down the Chicago, Des Plaines, Illinois and Mississippi Rivers and into the Gulf of Mexico.
