Capitol Hill Next Week - What to Watch For

Below is an early look at the U.S. House and Senate activities currently scheduled for next week that relate to Mississippi River Basin natural resources. More will likely be added before Tuesday's start of the Congressional work week, and they will be updated here.

In addition to those scheduled activities, the House Rules Committee has announced that it may meet next week to set the amendment process for floor consideration of H.R. 1734, the Improving Coal Combustion Residuals Regulation Act of 2015. That bill would amend the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's new "Disposal of Coal Combustion Residuals from Electric Utilities" rule. The Rules Committee meeting indicates that H.R. 1734 could be considered by the full House sometime later in the week.

Links are provided to the relevant committee web pages and appropriate pieces of legislation. Many Congressional proceedings are webcast live, and these may be, as well (follow the respective meeting or hearing link).  All times are Eastern.
