Capitol Hill Next Week - What to Watch For

Farm Bill
The Senate will wrap up its farm bill debate on Monday with two 5:30 PM votes: one, (probably a voice vote) on a Patrick Leahy (D-VT) amendment (to establish a pilot program for gigabit Internet projects in rural areas), and a second roll call vote on the bill, itself.  The full House is expected to take up consideration of its farm bill during the week of June 17.  Here is a link to the latest 2013 Farm Bill status in the Senate and House and to our regularly-updated farm bill resources list.

Other Items of Interest
Below are the other activities currently scheduled next week on the rather slim U.S. House and Senate calendars that relate to Mississippi River Basin natural resources. Where available, links are provided to the relevant Committee and legislation pages on the Internet. Many of the proceedings are webcast live (follow the appropriate link).  All times are Eastern.
